Frequently Asked Questions

When you're thinking about starting therapy, it's natural to have lots of questions. To help you get your answers quickly, I’ve compiled a list of some of the most popular questions I’ve received from clients. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Get in touch and I’ll be happy to assist you.

What happens during a counselling session?

In the first session, we'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, how many sessions you'd like, your goal for therapy and any questions you might have.  Our sessions are a place for you to bring whatever feels important; you'll lead, I'll listen, ask questions, and hopefully help you see things in a new light.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions you'd like is a personal choice, and varies based on you, the difficulties you'd like to work on, and your goals for therapy.  Don't worry if you're not sure how many sessions you feel you need - that's something we can work out together, and that we can always change later on if we need to.

How much will it cost?

Sessions are £70 each. Payment is required at the end of each session and can be made via bank transfer.

When are you available?

I offer sessions Mondays - Thursdays between 10am and 3pm.  Please get in touch to find out about current availability.

How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?

This is a really important one - having a good relationship with your therapist is key to therapy working well.  And it's hard to know from just looking at a website! That's why I offer a free initial consultation - it allows you to ask me any questions and get a feel for whether you think we'd work well together.
