About Me
My philosophy: My goal is to help my clients free themselves from the obstacles they feel are holding them back in life. I'm here to help when you feel you've hit a crunch point – stress, anxiety, pressure, depression or something else is taking over. You feel stuck, or overwhelmed, and you’re not sure why, but you know life would be easier if you could sort this out. My aim is to help you develop the tools to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals.
My counselling style: I’m warm, friendly and non judgmental - I believe in the importance of building relationships with my clients. I’m an active therapist – I don’t believe clients should do all the work. I work collaboratively with my clients – you set the direction and the goals of therapy, and we work together towards achieving them. I won’t give you advice or tell you what to do, but I’ll think with you about how things link together to hopefully give you a fresh perspective, and help you work out some coping skills for when times are rough. I also work using a psychodynamic approach, which means we’ll look at your past and how that might be showing up in your day to day life.
My background: Prior to training as a therapist I worked in finance in the City.
